Follows Elphaba, the future Wicked Witch of the West and her relationship with Glinda, the Good Witch of the North. The second of a two-part feature film adaptation of the Broadway musical… Wicked first announced that it would be split into two films in April 2022, with composer Stephen Schwartz explaining: "The truth is, we’ve been trying to do it for a while a movie (that) forced us to cut or leave out things that we wanted to include and that we think fans of the show and the story will appreciate." He added, “We found it very difficult to overcome Gravity Defying; without interruption. This song was written specifically to bring down the curtain, and whatever scene followed without interruption just seemed extremely anti-climactic.".
