Muriel and her husband Lee are about to begin a glamorous new life, which is turned upside down by the arrival of Lee’s brother. Muriel embarks on a secret life, betting on racehorses and discovering a love she never thought possible… The first promotional footage for the film gave the misleading impression that the story might involve a love story between Muriel (Daisy Edgar-Jones) and Julius (Jacob) Elordi). In fact, in the film there is no love story between Julius and Muriel: Julius is actually gay and in love with a man.
